Participating in Angel Tree is a powerful way for our church family to lovingly answer the biblical call to minister to some of those most overlooked members of our community. This unique ministry enables our church to reach out to families in our community.

Angel Tree provides a crucial link between children and their imprisoned parents. Through this mission families have been restored, children have been encouraged and the Gospel proclaimed.

For over 30 years Angel Tree (through prison chaplains) has been providing children of prisoners Christmas gifts on behalf of their incarcerated mothers and fathers, as well as a simple message of God’s love and forgiveness.

Our Parish also gives a ham to each of these families- so that they have a meal  Christmas Day. Most of the care givers (sole Parent/Grandmother/Aunty/Uncle /Sibling etc) find Christmas a particularly difficult time and they have limited resources.

Over the years of delivering these gifts it is obvious that some of these families are struggling financially and emotionally. They are all so thankful for the love shown to them.

Only God knows the seeds that are planted by Angel Tree Ministry.

This year we have supported 19 children and 7 families throughout the Ipswich region.

All gifts have been bought and over the next week deliveries will be made.

Please pray for these children and their carers.

Thank you to all of those in our Parish who have given to this ministry.

Hopefully we will be able to support more families next year.

It is more blessed to give than to receive.

Yours in Christ
