The World Day of Prayer is a global movement of informed prayer and prayerful action in over 170 countries, where, on the first Friday of March each year, millions of people from around the world unite in prayer.  The movement aims to bring together women of various races, cultures and traditions in a yearly common Day of Prayer, as well as in closer fellowship, understanding and action throughout the year.

The 2026 World Day of Prayer will be held at St. John's.  We wish to extend an invitation for you to attend this annual ecumenical worship service for the Ipswich central area, showcasing the country of Nigeria.

The 2026 worship service has been written in response to the theme, "I Will Give You Rest: Come." Taken from the Gospel of Matthew, 11:28-30 and includes stories of faith that are shared by the women and girls of Nigeria who have suffered much hardship.

At this ecumenical worship service, you will experience the different cultures of Nigeria, that will be represented during this unique worship service.

Following the service light refreshments will be served in the hall next door.

We look forward to you joining us on the day.

Please RSVP info@ipswich.church by Wednesday 4th March 2026 for catering purposes.

In His service and to the glory of God
