 mber\nFor more than 60 years\, the illuminated cross of St John’s – af
 fectionately known as ‘the white cross on the hill’ - has been a land
 mark of the Ipswich skyline.  It has offered comfort and calm to many in 
 our community\, both churchgoers and non-churchgoers alike\, however\, the
  weather and its elements have taken its toll now.  After weeks of carefu
 l planning and restoration the cross will once again shine over the city.\
 nOur celebration is being held in our newly renovated hall which now inclu
 des air conditioning\, sound and visual upgrades and fully accessible bath
 room facilities. Our hall is the perfect meeting and activities venue in t
 he heart of the Ipswich CBD for use by our local communities\, complete wi
 th convenient off-street parking!\nWe would be honoured by your presence a
 s we celebrate this moment of renewal for both our church and our city. \
 nWe look forward to you joining us for the celebration at 5.30 pm and the
