Hi Church, this weekend we commemorate All Saints Sunday (the first Sunday after the 01/11), where we remember the Saints that have gone on before us to heaven, but specifically those from our own faith community who have now departed.

We are focussing on a story that John records for us about one of Jesus’ friends – Lazarus. Lazarus was sick, he died, but Jesus raised him from the dead for God’s glory.

When we lose loved ones – sometimes we feel like we lose hope. But in our loss, Jesus is there to encourage us, to give us hope and the words that Jesus gives to those who were mourning were these: I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die and whoever lives by believing in me will never die.

My prayer is that those same words bring you hope as we celebrate how we have hope in our own resurrection from the dead, as we put our faith, trust and hope in Jesus.

In His Service, Pastor Ben
