This week we begin a brand new Lenten series called ‘Reclaim’ as we step through the book of Ezra.
As we journey in Lent from Ash Wednesday through Good Friday to Easter Sunday we are going to look at what God did in the Old Testament for the Jewish people.
We will find that through failure, forgetting what is of most importance, and through sin, there are times when we too may (like the Jewish people) become exiles attempting to return to God.
In the book of Ezra, the good news is that God reclaimed his people according to His promises, that despite our past, and despite our sins, God still claims us as His own through the life, death and resurrection of Jesus.
He also gives us an abundant future, one of hope and one of life as he reclaims and redeems us for His purpose in this world.
May our God of love reclaim you with His promises this Lenten season,
